Wouldn’t it be great if you could watch TV on the Internet for free?

Well, there’s a brand new Internet start-up who are in the process of doing just that. The company’s called ‘Joost’ (no they don’t make alcopops) and they allow you to watch TV shows on-line for FREE.

Fantastic eh? And what a marvellous e business opportunity. I mean I simply can’t believe this idea hasn’t come to fruition before.

In the UK alone these guys…

are already in talks with Channel 4 and ITV.

And it may come as little surprise that they are the same two guys who were behind ‘Skype’ - the company that allows you to make free calls over the Internet. That little e business opportunity of theirs gave birth to a company worth an estimated $3 billion.

Imagine!

And then there’s YouTube…

As we all know, THAT little ‘home videos’ site was sold (to Google) for well over $1 billion. Again, this was just a couple of guys who had a big fat eureka moment and turned it into a business opportunity. Now they’re worth hundreds of millions! It just goes to show that all it takes is one hot idea and a bit of application…

But let’s get back to Joost, because I’ve been scratching my head over this. There MUST be a way to make money from this concept - I mean surely there’s scope for a ‘business opportunity within a business opportunity’ here if you know what I mean. The sooner we can eek out what it is, the fatter our returns.

As always it’s better to get in on the action early with these new fangled e business opportunities - that’s just the way it works.

I know that YouTube offers a fantastic way to make some extra money - via their Google adsense scheme. Because YouTube is now owned by google if your video visitors are clicking on the google ads in your page, you get a cut in the profits! Of course you have to be set up for adsense to do that (don’t worry, it’s totally free).

But seriously, I really think the possibilities for potential business opportunities with this ‘online television’ and video blogging sites are endless. We’ll just have to keep a beady eye on things…
